Conservation Video for Carbon Central Networks
By combining various methods such as regional development, sustainable investment and conservation, CCN is directly addressing and finding solutions to combat the underlying causes of deforestation and forest degradation.
The Ancestral Domain of the Manobo Tribe covers an area of 51 000 ha and lies around the 8°2’- 8°15’N 125°21’-125°39’E. It is an integral part of the central Mountain Range and its foothills, running from Mt Sumagay to Mt Sinaka. The forest area itself is a unique mix of natural, secondary, degraded and severely degraded tropical forest that boasts diverse and unique fauna, with a number of endemic vertebrates. Besides the harvest potential of commercial tree species in select regions, the area is rich of localised medical plants, which may aid international scientific research into finding treatments and cures for a variety of diseases and pathogens.
