Barry began his professional television career in 1979 working for one of the largest TV companies at that time, Central Independent Television. Moving later to London to pursue a freelancing career directing & producing commercials, corporate and broadcast TV, he has enjoyed over twenty years working on numerous documentaries and dramas.
Renowned for his highly engaging and visually dynamic style, Barry has been the recipient of several awards, including the ‘Short Documentary Award’ at the Moondance International Film Festival, in Los Angeles. As an experienced cameraman, editor, writer, producer and director, he has worked in over twenty countries and is a member of Directors UK and Directors Guild of Great Britain, as well as a holder of a British press card. Prior to returning to the UK in 2007, Barry had been living and working in the USA & South East Asia creating and developing pilot TV shows, including a new international television series for the second largest distributor of family television in Hollywood, Porchlight Entertainment.
